This story is inscribed on a historic marker installed at Prince Rodgers Road and No Bridge Street.

Morning Prayer Service and Brunch
We close the Hobbstown Centennial Weekend with sustenance - prayer, food, and drink.

The Macedonia Baptist Church was founded in 1922 by Rev Amos Hobbs. The Church has served as the religious, cultural, and social center of the community. We return to this ‘heartbeat’ of the community with praise for the past and hope for the future with a Special Service led by Deacon David A. Hobbs.

The Family & Friends Reunion, held August 1995, acknowledged seventy-five years of kinship between the original settlers – the Hobbs, Bryant, Hicks, Miller, Murdock, Proctor, Tukes, Sermons, and McCray families. The Hobbstown Centennial is planned to commemorate the strengths and the successes of those founding families and their descendants.
