Saturday    , Aug 21 10:30 am Founders’ Day Commemorative- Historical Sign Installation.  Hobbstown was founded in 1920 by the Rev. Amos Hobbs and his brothers Robert and GW Hobbs. We honor one hundred years of kinship between the original settlers – the Hobbs, Bryant, Hicks, Miller, Murdock, Proctor, Tukes, Sermons, and McCray families.   12:00 pm David and Philip Miller Field Dedication - Whether organizing games, training and coaching, or providing rides and support for sports activities; David and Philip Miller motivated generations of youth to be their best in every aspect of life. Sunday, Aug 22 10:30 am Prayer Service - We close the Centennial Weekend with sustenance - prayer, fellowship, food, and drink. The Macedonia Baptist Church has served as the religious, cultural, and social center of the community. We return to this ‘heartbeat’ of the community with a Special Service led by Deacon David A.
